Miss Michelle is the artistic director and owner of 5678 Dance! Studio. She has over 30 years of dance experience in many dance styles. For the past 25+ years she has loved teaching dance to children ages 3-18 and adults. In 2005 she formed Rhythm! Dancers, a traveling group of older students who perform annually at many events including Six Flags, State Fair, the Milwaukee Bucks, Wave, Admirals and several local venues. Every other summer she takes Rhythm to New York City to take classes at Broadway Dance Center and experience "the city that never sleeps". This past summer she took the team to Orlando to perform at Universal Studios. She has had the pleasure to use her skills to collaborate with local organizations and several surrounding schools . She is so excited to continue working with previous dancers to further their abilities and can't wait to see new dancers in the studio as well!
Miss Whitney has been dancing since she was 6 years old and has developed a life long passion for the art of dance and theater. She has studied ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern, and theatre for 22 years in 4 different states. She has been in many theatrical productions including “Pippin” and “Barnum”. Miss Whitney enjoyed being part of the dance teams at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania and at UW-Whitewater. She has been teaching dance for 16 years including many years here at 5678 Dance! Studio. She has continued her dance education through dance conventions and teacher workshops, which focus on developing classroom techniques and expanding choreography skills. Her students love her warm-hearted personality and her inspiring teaching style.
Miss Nicky has studied Hip Hop right here at 5678 Dance! Studio for many years. She has been on our office staff as a studio secretary and has been an instructor for the past six years. She has worked at the recitals as a backstage manager not only for the years she has worked here but for several years prior as a volunteer. She took multicultural dance and African dance courses at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee while she was pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Miss Nicky has worked with children for 10+ years in both a school and daycare settings and is currently a 4K teacher. Her fun-loving personality and high energy choreography is why you will love being in her classes!
Miss Aubrey has an extensive background within competitive dance while dancing for CenterStage studio in IL; she traveled across the US entering competitions at a National Level within Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Lyrical genres throughout her High School Career. Additionally, she was an active member of her High School Dance Team all four years. In college she pursued a minor in Dance Education at the University of WI Whitewater in which she studied contemporary and classical ballet. She was a member of the UWW Dance Team where she choreographed pieces for both the football and basketball season. This is Miss Aubrey's 7th year teaching here at 5678. She is excited to challenge her students and most of all to have fun and help each of her students find the passion within that she has always had for dance!
Miss Callie loves to dance and enjoys teaching dancers of all ages at 5678 Dance! Studio. Callie has taken classes in jazz, contemporary, theatrical, and tap from 5678. She had the opportunity to participate in a dance workshop led by professional choreographer Brian Curl where she got to learn original Broadway choreography! She has also taken specialty workshops in the areas of Fosse jazz, Fosse tap, African jazz, and Decade dances. She is the theatre director for a local high school and choreographs fun routines for pep rallies, talent shows, and basketball games for a local grade school. Callie graduated from Carroll University where she studied Health Care Administration and is working towards getting her Master’s in Secondary Education. She is currently a math teacher at a local High school. Callie believes that dance is a form of self-expression and story-telling. She can’t wait to share her love of dance again this season!
Miss Shannon has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She has studied ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, modern, and pointe through out the years. She has attended multiple summer intensives such as Gus Giordano, Joffrey ballet, and the Milwaukee Ballet. She has also gone on a study abroad to Brazil to learn dance forms from other cultures. She has a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts in modern dance from the Peck School of the Arts at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. You can also see her as part of the Wild Space Dance Company in Milwaukee. She is excited to continue teaching here at 5678 and can’t wait to share her passion of dance with her students.
Miss Brynn has been dancing at 5678 Dance! Studio since she was 6 years old. She has also been on our Rhythm! performance team for 4 years including being a past president. She has gone to New York City with Rhythm! where she took dance classes at the Broadway Dance Center and had a dance intensive with an actress from Anastasia on Broadway. She has been an assistant teacher for our pre-ballet classes and has learned many great teaching techniques that she uses in her own classes. Miss Brynn believes she is living her childhood dream of teaching at 5678 Dance! Studio and you will feel that energy and excitement for dance the second you step foot into her class!
Miss Lexi has been dancing at 5678 Dance! Studio for 14 years. She has experience in Tap, Jazz, Poms, Theatrical, Lyrical Ballet, Contemporary, and Pointe. She has also been a part of our Rhythm! performance team for 5 years and is the group's current president. She takes 5 weekly classes in addition to Rhythm! rehearsals. With her strong passion for working with children, she has loved being a teacher, getting to know her students, and seeing them each week. Having started dancing here at 3 years old, she has loved growing up with dance having an uplifting and positive effect on her life and is so thrilled to continue sharing that with her students!
Miss Maddie has been dancing since she was 5 years old. She danced at 5678 Dance! Studio for 8 years and was also a part of the Rhythm! team. In High School, she was on the Oconomowoc High School Varsity Dance Team for 4 years. Her sophomore year, her team qualified for State with their pom routine! Miss Maddie was also captain and MVP her senior year. Along with dancing, teaching and choreographing is a passion of hers which led to her coaching the Silver Lake Intermediate Dance Team along with choreographing several routines for the Varsity team after high school. She is currently continuing her academic career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she is studying kinesiology and has continued her knowledge of dance by taking Hip-Hop classes taught by professional choreographers at the University. Miss Maddie is excited to help her students grow as dancers and to share her love of dance with them!
Miss Olivia has been dancing since the age of four years old. She has experience in lyrical and classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Poms, Contemporary, and Pointe. Olivia grew up dancing at 5678 Dance! Studio, which became another home for her while she took numerous classes. She was previously on our Rhythm! performance team for four years where she was the team's secretary. With this group, she had the opportunity to travel to New York City to learn a dance with the dance choreographer from the Broadway Musical Finding Neverland. She also took classes at the Broadway Dance Center. Olivia was on her high school dance team where she performed poms and jazz dances. She is pursuing her bachelor's degree at Marquette University and is studying international business. Her love of dance was formed from her ability to express herself and have fun through movement. This is something she strives to share with her students. Miss Olivia is excited to work with dancers to help them develop their skills and confidence as a dancer and an individual. Welcome back Miss Olivia!
Miss Ellie has been dancing at 5678 since 2011. She absolutely loves to dance! Her favorite style of dancing is ballet en pointe. She also has experience in lyrical, jazz, poms, and more. Miss Ellie has been on our Rhythm! performance team for several seasons including being the team's current vice president. In 2019 she began assistant teaching. She has gained an abundance of teaching knowledge through the many classes and camps she has helped out with. She is so excited to have classes of her own! Miss Ellie loves working with kids and has been dreaming of teaching since she she started dance!
Miss Mary has been a lover of music and dancing her whole life. She took tap and ballet at age five, and then danced at 5678 throughout middle school and high school, taking musical theatre dance and tap. She has a deep passion for opera and musical theatre, being a part of 20 different productions over the years. She is currently a double major in Music Performance and Musical Theatre at Carroll University where she takes collegiate level jazz, tap, hip hop, and musical theatre dance classes. Miss Mary has experience in tutoring music theory and sight singing and adores watching her students grow; she is excited to see that in her first time teaching at 5678!!
Miss Brittany is our front desk manager and is here to address any concerns you may have. Not only does she work here at 5678 but her two daughters are here as well! She enjoys getting a chance to watch her girls and all of our students grow through dance and loves the opportunity to interact with other dance families. Please feel free to ask her anything about payments, classes, teachers, the recital, dance wear needs or any question you may have.
Miss Laurie is at the front desk on Mondays. Her daughter has been at the studio since the summer of 2013. As a Mom here she has seen many things over the years and has lots of knowledge of how the studio works. Don’t hesitate to ask her questions about classes, payments, shoes, dancewear, teachers and the recital. She is excited to get to know the dancers and their families throughout the year.
These amazing girls are our assistant teachers. They are kind-hearted, full of energy, and ready to help lead in the dance room! They assist the teacher with getting dancers in the studio and settled, help with anything needed during the class including bathroom breaks, helping children stay focused, shoe changes, and overall are an extra hand for our youngest classes.
